Dr. Nathan Butterworth
I completed my doctoral thesis at the University of Wollongong in 2020 where I studied the evolution of sexual signals in blowflies.
Between 2021-2022 I was a postdoc at the University of Technology Sydney, where my I worked on ephemeral resource ecology & blowfly population genetics.
Between 2022-2024 I was employed as a research fellow at Monash University, using water fleas (Daphnia) to study the ecology of sex differences & disease dynamics.
I am currently working at La Trobe University on a project titled “Hotspots of invertebrate endemism”. This work focusses on the diversity and phylo-geographic structure of leaf litter communities across south-eastern Australia.
